It’s a humid and rainy today so Alex is lounging in the living room with the AC on. He hates the rain, didn’t even do his business today! Now he’s just being lazy.

Lazy-town.

It’s summer, so for most dog owner’s, we know its time where our furry babes start shedding like crazy. Shibas have an infuriating double coat where the top layer is smooth and shiny and under that is madness.

I brushed his fur for 2 days and each time he shed like this, and even more. Just yesterday we brushed his fur again and it was 5x more than this. I don’t even know how he still has fur left, and no, he’s not done shedding.

It’s not like he likes to stay still either.

This is my dog, Alex. He’s a Shiba Inu and sometimes a jerk. He’ll be 3 years old next month and lives in Flushing, NY with his gf, a tuxedo cat.We adopted Alex when he was a puppy by some man who put an ad on the newspaper. He was so shy and scared when we got him. Even to this day, he’s extremely skittish. He was a ball of joy who shat, pissed, and ate everything.
I made this blog because he’s a silly doofus and thought it would be nice to immortalize him on the internet, and partly because we go through unique experiences in our sometimes dog friendly neighborhood and thought maybe I could find others who have experienced what we go through almost daily.
